Level 1 Update
You'll be glad to hear that at Level 1, General Practice is pretty much back to normal with a few changes from pre-lockdown.
- We will still be offering phone appointments and encourage you to use these. Many things can be easily handled over the phone. However, if you're not sure whether you might need to be examined then please book a face to face appointment.
- When booking face to face appointments the receptionists will still be asking about cough, sore throat, fever and shortness of breath and if you have these symptoms will make you an appointment with a designated doctor who is prepared for these consults. This is in line with Ministry and Royal College of GP guidance. If all the doctors are exposed to the usual winter bugs and off work then we all have a problem so please respect this rule. Thank you.
- We are hoping to have late nights (until 6pm) and Saturday morning drop in clinics up and running again from next week.
-We don't yet have a dedicated "emergency walk-in clinic" running like we did pre-lockdown, though it equally never really stopped. That's just what we do! If you have a medical emergency please let us know and we'll do our best to get you seen as quickly as possible.
